ELEKTRA

Methods

Nine interdisciplinary European partners contribute to development and research in order to develop a methodology for designing educational games as well as a comprehensive game demonstrator. Furthermore, important research questions shall be addressed by the project both on the level of the involved research domains and on an interdisciplinary level.

ELEKTRA’s interdisciplinary approach is required in order to address all related challenges of designing an educational game. Moreover, emerging research questions must be addressed to progress to a future, more effective and desirable game-based learning.

Chaired by the „Laboratory for Mixed Realities“ (LMR) in Cologne, well-known partners, such as the Trinity College Dublin, the Universities of Graz and Liège, as well as the ORT France and the Center for Advanced Imaging (CAI) cooperate to develop innovative learning concepts, which will be integrated in a high quality computer game by the LMR and Testaluna. Further partners in this consortium are the well-known school books publisher Klett, responsible for learning concepts and material, as well as BROADVIEW TV as marketing and PR expert.
